This time I worked some negative space to see what would happen. Yes, the image is carved out of the white...give it a look. Like this hand-pulled screen print? Get it @ Medusa Expression. UPDATE - These are sold out.
Cool..Forbidden Love got a writeup in another blog. Check 'em out..lots of cool poster/print release news there. I'll start following this now (and be all the more broke for it).
Tripping around the net, found another original work I used to own. From artists Don Heck and Mike Esposito, a nice Avengers #111 story page. Panel two makes it look like Clint is sitting in the world's smallest shipyard.
My muse was Audrey. Such a classic beauty. This one came out good. If you agree, there's 40 of these available, 19x26" @ $35 postpaid from Medusa Expression!
UPDATE - These are sold out.
They've also added several original 1/1 works by me. Yes, more expensive but each is unique and completely handmade.
No..not the Marvel Comics character. The artist (and real human). He's a good friend of mine but an even better illustrator.
We were talking the other day and he mentioned that he's got some interesting stuff going on. In addition to his new sketchbook Negative Space he's also been working on a secret project all summer. While a private commission, it's likely he'll end up with a very short run of books showing the work. I've seen some of it, art that's a nice throwback to a forgotten 40s style.
Should this stuff end up published (not definite yet), expect a drop around November.
Another rare Jumbo Machinder Villain pops up in Japan - not as rare as Dabulas but there's no such thing as a 'common' JM Villain. This one is in rough shape, starting bid $1,000.
Heritage Galleries has just posted on eBay (and their web site) new listings for all sorts of interesting comic/fantasy/illustration original art. A little pricier than your typical screenprint - but these are one-of-a-kind artist originals, not multiples.
Yes, real drawings and paintings. If you're like me, it's enough to check 'em out without having to mortgage the house (again) to actually have the winning bid.
Bids can be placed at any time online and live August 7-8.
